Misiorowski Allows One Run in Four Innings as Brewers Beat Mets
Jacob Misiorowski worked four innings in the Milwaukee Brewers' 8-3 victory over the New York Mets on July 20. The outing was his first since July 7 after arm fatigue scratched him from a July 12 start. Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy said the team is monitoring the pitcher's workload after the All-Star break.

Jacob Misiorowski allowed one unearned run over four innings as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the New York Mets 8-3 on July 20. It was his first appearance since he threw seven innings in a July 7 victory at St. Louis.
The Brewers had scratched Misiorowski from a scheduled July 12 start in Pittsburgh because of arm fatigue. He was selected to the 2026 All-Star Game but did not pitch in it. Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy said before the game that the team wanted to monitor Misiorowski's workload coming out of the break.
"I think we take that as kind of a reset," Murphy said. " Misiorowski struck out six batters, allowed one unearned run, four hits and one walk. He threw 65 pitches, 26 of which reached at least 100 mph.
His fastest pitch was 104 mph on a first-inning fastball to Juan Soto. He hit 102 mph on 12 pitches, 11 of them in the first inning. Murphy said after the game that the decision to remove Misiorowski after four innings reflected more than caution.
"We would have probably let him go further if his delivery and his legs felt great," Murphy said. "I think he was a little bit out of it. " Misiorowski said he felt halfway decent but acknowledged the layoff had an effect.
"I felt like I wasn't in my legs as well as I should have been, but I felt halfway decent. Good enough," he said. Misiorowski is not scheduled to start in the Brewers' weekend series against the Colorado Rockies.
Through July 20 he has pitched 115 innings this season after logging 141 1/3 innings in 2025, including 12 postseason innings. The 24-year-old holds a 9-2 record and 0.87 ERA over his last 13 starts. He leads MLB with a 1.57 ERA and 173 strikeouts.
