Modi to Attend G7 Summit in France After Marking 12 Years in Office
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to France and Slovakia next week for meetings with European leaders and the G7 summit. The trip follows messages of congratulations from several foreign governments on his record length of service.

The foreign ministry announced the schedule Tuesday. Modi is also scheduled to attend the VivaTech technology conference in Paris after the summit.
Several governments sent written or recorded congratulations ahead of Modi completing 12 years as prime minister. ” Russian President Vladimir Putin’s office highlighted economic gains during Modi’s tenure. He will then travel to Slovakia on Sunday for talks with Prime Minister Robert Fico, the first visit by an Indian prime minister since Slovakia’s independence in 1993.
No agenda has been released for the bilateral sessions. Officials have not confirmed exact times or topics. The G7 gathering will include heads of government from Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States, plus invited guests.
Modi’s participation continues India’s pattern of engagement with the annual meeting.
