Myles Garrett of the Los Angeles Rams ranked first among NFL edge rushers in ESPN's 2026 survey of league executives, coaches and scouts. Every first-place ballot went to Garrett, who switched teams before the season. Garrett, 30, recorded an NFL-record 23 sacks and 33 tackles for loss in the previous season.
Voters cited his combination of power and production as decisive factors in the unanimous selection. Nine players appeared on at least 70 percent of the ballots submitted for the position, and six appeared on 90 percent. Five different players received at least one second-place vote.
ESPN conducted the survey ahead of the 2026 training camps. More than 70 voters submitted ballots across positions, with results compiled using top-10 vote totals, composite averages and follow-up interviews. The edge-rusher survey is the third installment in ESPN's seventh annual position-by-position series.
Rankings for running backs and cornerbacks were released earlier in the week; defensive tackles will be published next.
