U.S. Navy will begin making decisions to change training, operations, certification and events in the July timeframe due to the current pace of operations, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Daryl Caudle told the House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday.
The Navy currently has two aircraft carriers deployed to the Middle East. Funds for these current operations would come from a defense supplemental, Caudle stated. Rep. , chair of the House Appropriations defense subcommittee, stated on Tuesday that the supplemental must be sent to lawmakers as soon as possible.
"I don’t know who’s making this final decision to get the supplemental over here, but we need to get it over here," Calvert said. "Both sides need to look at it. Obviously, the Senate needs to look at it.

The Trump-class battleship will share the steam generator and reactor cooling pump components with the USS Ford.
Most of the combat systems, radar system, and missile system for the Trump-class battleship are pull-through technology from the Ford class. Adm. Daryl Caudle stated he is thrilled that the Trump-class battleship will be nuclear-powered.
