Nelly Korda Wins 2026 U.S. Women's Open by One Stroke at Riviera Country Club
Korda posted a final-round 69 and finished eight under par to claim her first U.S. Women's Open title and fourth major championship overall.

A chip and putt for birdie on the par-5 17th hole proved decisive. S. Women's Open title. She had finished runner-up to Maja Stark at Erin Hills the previous year. Korda also won the Chevron Championship earlier in the 2026 season.
She has now captured four major championships. At 27, Korda became the youngest American since Mickey Wright in 1960 to win four majors. She is the first player since 2013 to win the first two majors of the LPGA season.
Korda said she did not feel she had her best game. "I don't even feel like I had my 'B' game. I was just grinding out there," she said. "I really don't have any [words]," Korda added. " Korda credited her support system, including caddie Jay.
"I literally would not be standing here without millions of pep talks I just got on the golf course from Jay," she said. Korda won the 2021 Women's PGA Championship and needs one more major to complete a career grand slam. The Women's Open and Evian Championship remain before mid-August.
