NFL teams hold minicamps as 2026 season nears
Seventeen teams conducted the second week of organized team activities this week. Twelve more teams are scheduled to hold minicamps the week of June 15. Training camps for all 32 teams are set to begin in late July.
sportsnet.caSeventeen NFL teams held the second week of their offseason workout programs this week as the 2026 season approaches. The programs include three-day minicamps for most clubs, while two teams completed their mandatory minicamps last week and one team canceled its session.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins took fewer repetitions during the team period on Wednesday. Fernando Mendoza and Aidan O'Connell received most of the snaps and worked with both first- and second-team players. Mendoza was less efficient than the previous day and would have been sacked twice.
Aidan O'Connell threw a deep pass that was intercepted by rookie safety Dalton Johnson after an underthrown ball. Kicker Matt Gay made a 56-yard field goal during a late-game situations drill after connecting with second-year wide receiver Jack Bech.
Receiver Brian Thomas Jr. continued strong performances from organized team activities into the first two mandatory minicamp practices. Thomas made a deep reception down the right sideline over cornerback Jarrian Jones while securing the catch on the ground. The three-week minicamp period will conclude before a monthlong break ahead of training camp.
