Nick Bosa said his brother Joey Bosa is not focused on his NFL future at this time. Nick Bosa spoke at the San Francisco 49ers' May 28 OTA practice and media availability. He was asked about the possibility of Joey joining the 49ers. "I think he's working on his golf game right now," Nick Bosa said.
Joey Bosa was selected third overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by the then-San Diego Chargers and later played for the Buffalo Bills in 2025. Joey Bosa recorded five sacks and a league-best five forced fumbles in 15 games during the 2025 season. Nick Bosa has played his entire seven-year career with the 49ers.
Bosa tore his ACL during the 2025 season and missed the remainder of the year after recording two sacks in three games. "I'm pretty far along," he said. "I'm out on the field doing a lot of stuff. " Bosa said he has prior experience recovering from ACL tears in high school and in 2020.
He is not participating in OTAs but plans to be ready for training camp. The 49ers recorded the fewest sacks in the league last season with 20.
