The Nopia synthesizer will reach the market in a couple of months at a price of around £550, creators Martin Grieco and Rocío Gal said during a demonstration at the MusicRadar offices. The Verge reported the announcement on July 11, 2026. The instrument, first shown in 2023, is described as a harmony machine that combines keys, bass, arp, and pad functions in one unit.
A one-octave Chord Builder keyboard works with a 12-button Tonal Selector and an Extensions Dial to set key and chord voicing. Additional controls include a strum plate that isolates individual notes from a chord and a slider that bends the pitch of full chords. The device contains virtual analog and sample-based engines along with delay, reverb, tape emulation, and beat repeat effects.
Grieco and Gal said the unit is finished after years of development and will ship with extensive MIDI connectivity for controlling external instruments.
