bbc.co.ukA 36-year-old man from East Harling was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday after admitting to cocaine supply, cannabis possession, and dangerous driving. John Scott, of Spinney Drive, recorded himself driving at speeds up to 119 mph on a single-carriageway country road on December 7 while serving a five-year driving disqualification.
Earlier that day he had reached 104 mph on the A1066 between Thetford and Diss.
Constabulary said Scott pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possessing cannabis, and dangerous driving. Officers arrested him on December 12 after identifying him as a suspect in drug-related crimes. Police seized his mobile phone, which contained messages coordinating cocaine distribution in the Breckland area and additional videos of reckless driving, including footage from June 16 near Banham village.
" PC Large added that the videos showed Scott using his phone while driving at excessive speeds and noted it was remarkable that no one was injured. He expressed hope that the sentence would deter similar conduct on Norfolk roads.
