Nvidia Plans N2X and N3X Chips, Extending RTX Spark AI Line Through Multiple Future Generations
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed at Computex 2026 that at least two more generations of RTX Spark chips are planned. The company aims to expand the architecture across multiple generations.
BBC NewsNvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed at Computex 2026 in Taipei that the company has already planned N2X and N3X chips. He said N1X is called N1X because it has a smaller version called N1. Huang told journalists that Nvidia will expand its family of chips and extend the architecture for a very long time.
The RTX Spark has up to 128GB of RAM, which Nvidia says is enough to hold 120-billion-parameter AI agents. The RTX Spark will scale down from the first superchip with 128GB of RAM down to as little as 16GB of RAM. Huang said he started working with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella about three years ago to build toward an AI computing goal.
He told analysts and investors that he wants to talk to his laptop and wants R2-D2. It’s like Scotty talking to that mouse,” Huang said. He added that in the future the computer will be an AI and that everything will be an AI, including vacuum cleaners that users will talk to.
Huang said users will be able to text a laptop with WhatsApp to remotely edit a PowerPoint slide, convert it to PDF and send it back. He said running AI locally is free and compared it to not renting a television, washer dryer, refrigerator or assistant computer that is used every day. “What, am I going to call Claude to control my laptop?
Are you insane? It doesn’t make any sense! I want to talk to my laptop! ” Huang said. He said he wants his laptop to finish code while he is giving a keynote because all the files and tools are on the laptop.
