Ohtani, Freeman, Soto Among Starters for 2026 All-Star Game

Shohei Ohtani will start at designated hitter for the National League in the 2026 All-Star Game after leading all players in fan voting. Freddie Freeman starts at first base, Max Muncy at third base and Andy Pages in the outfield, joining Ohtani as the four Los Angeles Dodgers starters. Juan Soto and Brandon Marsh start in the outfield for the National League.

CJ Abrams starts at shortstop, Ozzie Albies at second base and Drake Baldwin at catcher. In the American League, Ernie Clement starts at second base, Junior Caminero at third base, Bobby Witt Jr. at shortstop, Shea Langeliers at catcher and Yordan Alvarez at designated hitter.

Mike Trout, Aaron Judge and Byron Buxton form the outfield. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. declined to participate after his selection at first base. Athletics first baseman Nick Kurtz, who won the player vote at the position, replaced him.

The Dodgers, Braves and Phillies each send five players. The Blue Jays, Yankees and Rays each send four. Dave Roberts said July 4 that Ohtani is unlikely to pitch. Cristopher Sanchez is the favorite to start for the National League.
