indiatoday.intoday.inPalm Beach County approved a licensing agreement with the Trump family business yesterday. The agreement is a requirement to rename Palm Beach International Airport after the sitting president. The agreement stops the Trump family from profiting off branded merchandise sold at the airport.
It says nothing about profiting off branded merchandise sold elsewhere. The agreement gives the Trump family control over any biographical material presented at the airport. The agreement requires the airport to pick vendors from a Trump-approved list.
A trademark lawyer called the agreement extremely unusual. Kennedy and Reagan airports have no such agreements with those presidents' families. The new name of the airport takes effect July 1. Logo options for the renamed airport include an eagle that resembles the presidential seal.
The Kennedy Center is now the Trump-Kennedy Center. New Navy vessels are the Trump class. Legislation has been introduced to rename Dulles International Airport as Donald J. Trump International Airport.
