Paramount merged some technical streaming teams in March as part of its convergence project, Business Insider reported. The project aims to combine the technology platforms of Paramount+ and Pluto TV. CEO David Ellison has directed resources toward technology initiatives ahead of a planned merger with Warner Bros.

Paramount plans to increase streaming engagement by adding vertical video clips and interactive features such as a shopping tool. Business Insider reported these additions are part of efforts to expand beyond the core streaming platforms. The most significant potential shift for Paramount would be acquiring Warner Bros.
