The Philadelphia Flyers re-signed forward Trevor Zegras to a four-year, $36.5 million contract extension on July 15. The deal carries an average annual value of $9.125 million and makes Zegras the team's highest-paid player. Zegras posted a career-high 67 points in 81 games during the 2025-26 season, including 26 goals and 41 assists.
He recorded a nine-game point streak from December 9 to 23 and added two goals and four assists in 10 playoff games. The Flyers acquired the 25-year-old from the Anaheim Ducks for Ryan Poehling and two draft picks in June 2025. Zegras had just completed a three-year, $17.25 million contract with the Ducks that carried a $5.
He was a restricted free agent who had filed for arbitration before agreeing to the new deal. "We're thrilled to have Trevor committed to our organization for the next four years," general manager Danny Briere said in a statement. " Zegras ranked second on the Flyers in scoring and co-led the team in assists.
The Flyers also agreed to contract extensions with goalie Dan Vladar and right wing Tyson Foerster. The team's previous highest-paid player was right wing Travis Konecny at $8. Zegras was selected ninth overall in the 2019 NHL draft.
