Rosters Set for 2026 WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago

The rosters for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game were finalized after honorary general managers Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon completed the draft on Wednesday. Paige Bueckers, the top fan vote-getter, was assigned to Team Cooper via coin flip, while second-place finisher Caitlin Clark went to Team Weatherspoon.

Weatherspoon received the first overall pick after losing the coin flip and selected A'ja Wilson.

Cooper took Breanna Stewart with the second pick. In the reserves round, Cooper chose Angel Reese and Weatherspoon selected Rhyne Howard. No trades occurred during the draft. Becky Hammon will coach Team Cooper and Cheryl Reeve will coach Team Weatherspoon.

Team Cooper's 12 players come from 12 different teams. Team Weatherspoon includes three pairs of teammates: Clark and Aliyah Boston, Olivia Miles and Courtney Williams, and Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray. The Chicago Sky will host All-Star Weekend for the second time in franchise history.

All-Star Friday is scheduled for July 24 at Wintrust Arena. The All-Star Game is set for July 25 at the United Center with tip-off at 8:30 p.m. Participants for the Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest have not yet been announced.

CBS Sports reported that Reeve coached the 2024 U.S. Olympic women's basketball team, which won an eighth consecutive gold medal, and that Clark was omitted from that roster.
