Phillies Interim Manager to Coach at All-Star Game Against Former Teams
Don Mattingly will serve on the National League staff at Tuesday's All-Star Game in Philadelphia while facing his former Toronto Blue Jays boss. The 65-year-old took over the Phillies in late April and has led them to a 45-24 record.

joined the Phillies organization in January as bench coach under former manager Rob Thomson at the urging of his son Louis.
Another son, Preston, serves as the team's general manager. He left Toronto after reaching his first World Series because he wanted to spend more time with family. Blue Jays All-Star second baseman Ernie Clement said Mattingly was missed in Toronto.
"It's awesome that he teamed up with Preston," Clement said. The team is now two games behind Atlanta in the NL East and features six All-Stars.
Mattingly said he would be interested in having the interim tag removed but wants to table that discussion until the offseason. The 65-year-old is in his 23rd straight season as a major league manager or coach.
