Phillies' Johan Rojas Tears UCL, Will Miss 2026 Season While Serving PED Suspension

winnipegfreepress.comPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Johan Rojas suffered a UCL tear in his right elbow and will need surgery, the team announced. He will not return during the 2026 MLB season. Rojas, 25, was nearing the end of an 80-game suspension when the injury occurred.
He had been preparing to return on June 25. The Phillies said Rojas will now focus on being ready for spring training in 2027. He was suspended on March 16 after testing positive for the performance-enhancing substance Boldenone.
224 with one homer, 18 RBIs and 12 stolen bases for the Phillies in 2025. He was demoted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Aug. 1 and did not play for Philadelphia during the remainder of that season. Rojas went 3-for-15 with one RBI for the Phillies during spring training in 2026.
