Pogacar Wins Tour de Suisse With Final-Stage Victory
Tadej Pogacar secured the overall Tour de Suisse title on Sunday by winning the fifth and final stage. The Slovenian rider also won the opening stage and the Saturday time trial.

Tadej Pogacar won the Tour de Suisse on Sunday after taking the fifth and final stage in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland. The 27-year-old Slovenian rider caught Frenchman Lenny Martinez about 800 meters from the end of the final climb on the 151.1-kilometer stage. Pogacar had earlier won the opening stage and beat Mathieu van der Poel by one second in Saturday's time trial.
Pogacar won the six-day Tour de Romandie last month.
In April he recorded a third consecutive victory at Liège–Bastogne–Liège. He also won Milan-San Remo and the Tour of Flanders for a third time, and finished second at Paris-Roubaix. The rider is scheduled to compete in the Tour de France, which begins July 4.
