A poll released by the Israel Democracy Institute found that more than 60 percent of Israelis say the current prime minister should not run for another term. The result held among respondents who identified with the center-right, center, center-left, and left.

Only those on the right showed majority support for another candidacy. The same survey recorded 61 percent backing a two-term limit for future prime ministers. The findings come from a nationally representative sample conducted by the institute and reported by the Times of Israel.

The current leader remains the longest-serving prime minister and continues to head the governing party without an announced internal challenger. The poll indicates that sentiment against another run extends across most of the political spectrum. The institute has conducted regular surveys on public attitudes toward elected officials and institutional rules.

No date was given for the next election cycle.
