President Trump Announces Truth Social API Access and Dollar Coin Plan

President Trump said last week that Trump Media & Technology Group will sell priority access to his Truth Social account through an application programming interface. The company, 41 percent owned by the president, said buyers will receive posts ahead of the general public but did not disclose the price or exact time advantage. Last month the president posted 676 times on the platform.

Traders already monitor Truth Social posts for market signals.

A post about U.S. Steel last year moved the share price from $42 to $52 within two days. The president's declared personal income rose from $760 million to $2.4 billion in the most recent financial year, partly from cryptocurrency holdings.

The Treasury announced plans to place the president's image on a new one-dollar coin. He would be the first living person depicted on U.S. currency in a century. Congress previously blocked a proposal to place the president's image on a $250 banknote. Other projects include portraits in some passports and banners on federal buildings.

In a Thursday address, the president released documents he said showed vulnerabilities in election systems. He focused on the 2020 contest and repeated his claim that he won. The following day the Homeland Security Secretary warned state officials that failure to follow federal election instructions could bring fines or prison terms.
