Prime Video Announces Seven Original Filipino Series and Additional Content for Philippines
Prime Video has announced seven original Filipino series as part of its first local slate in the Philippines, in partnership with ABS-CBN and GMA networks. VarietyPrime Video announced seven Filipino Prime Original series during its first local slate event in the Philippines. The company has partnered with networks ABS-CBN and GMA to produce content across genres including political thriller, family drama, psychological suspense, romance, crime, and comedy.
The slate also includes licensed Filipino films and Korean series scheduled through the fourth quarter of 2026.
One series already streaming is the crime drama "The Silent Noise," which premiered on March 20. Produced by ABS-CBN Studios, it centers on Eli, a deaf 10-year-old in the coastal town of Escondido, who investigates his teacher's sudden death amid a police probe that implicates his family.
The cast includes Angelica Panganiban, Zanjoe Marudo, Zaijian Jaranilla, Mutya Orquia, Joem Bascon, Mylene Dizon, and KD Omalin.
The first new original series, romance "Love Is Never Gone," is set to premiere on May 8. Produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and ABS-CBN Studios, it follows two individuals from different backgrounds whose lives intersect in Morocco, with their relationship challenged by distance, personal histories, and individual decisions.
The cast features Joshua Garcia, Ivana Alawi, Jameson Blake, Jane Oineza, Michael de Mesa, Epy Quizon, and Dina Bonnevie.
Upcoming Original Series Psychological drama "The Loyalty Game" is scheduled for July.
Produced by Star Creatives and ABS-CBN Studios, it depicts a couple whose relationship is tested by the introduction of a third party, challenging their trust. The stars include Janine Gutierrez, Jericho Rosales, and Sofia Andres.
The story reunites a mother and daughter after years apart, as they compete over what each considers their rightful claim, resurfacing old conflicts. The cast includes Sharon Cuneta, Barbie Forteza, John Estrada, Tonton Gutierrez, Khalil Ramos, and Mercedes Cabral. Cross-cultural drama "Kopino" arrives in November, produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and ABS-CBN Studios.
It follows a woman involved with Kopino children—Korean-Filipino children often abandoned by their fathers—and a man linked to their past, exploring identity, accountability, and cross-border consequences. Paulo Avelino, Kim Chiu, and Jo Byeong Kyu star. Political thriller "Behind Closed Doors," produced by GMA, is planned for later in the year.
Marian Rivera portrays a radio announcer in a secret relationship with the Philippine President, played by Dingdong Dantes in a special role, who becomes a suspect in his assassination. Jillian Ward plays the president's daughter. Comedy competition series "LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines" returns for a second season hosted by Vice Ganda, with premiere date and cast details to be announced.
Licensed Films and International Content Licensed Filipino films include GMA Pictures' comedy "Samahan ng mga Makasalanan" in April, starring David Licauco, Sanya Lopez, and Joel Torre.
The horror anthology "Gabi ng Lagim" arrives in June, featuring Jessica Soho as storyteller with Arthur Acuna, Elijah Canlas, and Jillian Ward. Legal drama sequel "Bar Boys: After School" and queer drama "Open Endings" both release in July, with casts including Carlo Aquino, Rocco Nacino, Enzo Pineda, Kean Cipriano, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Janella Salvador, Klea Pineda, and Leanne Mamonong.
The Bayaniverse historical trilogy consists of "Quezon" in May, starring Jericho Rosales as Manuel L.
" Korean series begin with "Absolute Value of Romance" on April 17, following a high school student who writes web novels inspired by her teachers, starring Kim Hyang Gi, Cha Hak-yeon, and Kim Jae-hyun.
