PWHL Hamilton Signs Ottawa's Emily Clark to Two-Year Deal, Completing Phase 2 Roster
The expansion franchise completed its five-player Phase 2 roster with the addition of the 30-year-old Saskatoon native, who joins former Ottawa teammates on the new team.
PWHL Hamilton signed forward Emily Clark to a two-year contract, the expansion franchise announced Sunday. Clark, who was under contract with Ottawa through the 2027-28 season, joins Hamilton on a new deal that also runs through the 2027-28 season. Clark was one of Ottawa's three foundational players ahead of the inaugural PWHL season and served as a three-year alternate captain since the team's debut.
The 30-year-old from Saskatoon ranks second in Ottawa Charge history in assists with 27, third in goals with 16 and third in points with 43. She led Ottawa in all-time games played with 84 regular-season appearances and 16 postseason games. Clark helped lead the Charge to back-to-back Walter Cup finals.
The signing completes the list of five players added to PWHL Hamilton during Phase 2 of the PWHL's expansion process. Clark will be reunited with former Ottawa Charge captain Brianne Jenner, the first of the team's Phase 2 signings. Jenner signed a three-year contract with Hamilton.
Fellow forward Alina Müller, defender Nicole Gosling and goaltender Kayle Osborne also signed three-year contracts with the expansion team. Cbc reported the announcement on June 7, 2026.
