Quentin Dolan, 32, Takes Day-to-Day Control of New York Rangers

Quentin Dolan assumed day-to-day control of the New York Rangers and its AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack, on July 3. The 32-year-old holds the titles of president, chief operating officer and alternate governor. He reports to his father, James Dolan, 71, executive chairman of MSG Sports, who is stepping back from daily Rangers operations.

Chris Drury continues to lead hockey operations and now reports directly to Quentin Dolan. Quentin Dolan joined MSG Sports in 2022. He earned a bachelor's degree in sports and event management from New York University and serves as senior vice president of player performance and science leader for both the Rangers and the New York Knicks.

"I've always had a tremendous respect and admiration for the New York Rangers organization, it's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember," Quentin Dolan said. He added that his goal is winning a championship and continuing his father's and grandfather's legacy.

"Quentin and I have worked together for several years, and I believe him taking on this role will only make the Rangers organization stronger," Drury said.

James Dolan described the move as a natural progression, citing his son's contributions to the Knicks' recent championship. The Rangers missed the playoffs in each of the past two seasons after reaching the conference finals in 2024. James Dolan remains in control of the NBA champion New York Knicks.
