Of the $55 million extension, $5 million is a roster bonus that is fully guaranteed at signing. The remaining $50 million becomes guaranteed at the start of the 2027 league year.
The deal also includes $5 million each year in incentives tied to playoff success. Stafford is now tied to Los Angeles through the 2027 season with $105 million remaining on his contract, including the money tied to the incentives. The Rams announced the extension but did not disclose terms.
In an offseason in which the Rams used the No. 13 pick in the NFL draft on quarterback Ty Simpson, Stafford receives a raise that places him among quarterbacks earning more than $50 million per season.
