Rangers Activate Seager from Concussion List, Place Freeman on Injured List
Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager returned Thursday after missing 12 games with a concussion. The team placed utility player Cody Freeman on the injured list and released infielder Blaine Crim.

Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager was activated from the concussion list on Thursday. ESPN reported that Seager missed 12 games after the injury. The Rangers made the move before the opener of their four-game series at Toronto, inserting Seager into the lineup batting third.
Thursday marked the eighth of 15 consecutive days with a scheduled game for Texas. Seager suffered the concussion in a collision with Kansas City catcher Carter Jensen on June 11. He stayed in that game and later hit a home run.
The injury occurred in only his fifth game back after missing 19 games from May 15 to June 4 with lower back inflammation. 186 with nine home runs and 24 RBI. The Rangers placed utility player Cody Freeman on the 10-day injured list with a herniated disk.
