Declan Doyle, 30, is installing his offensive system with the Baltimore Ravens during the team's spring workout program. He was hired in January by Ravens coach Jesse Minter to run the offense and became the NFL's youngest offensive coordinator at age 29. Doyle turned 30 on March 6 and is 10 months older than quarterback Lamar Jackson.

He has been delivering large amounts of information in short periods to test how much Jackson and his teammates can absorb. Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers said he has told Doyle to slow down. "I'm like, 'Hey, coach, chill, chill,'" Flowers said.

Weaver said, "When he starts spitting out offensive information and plays from his past, it's like, he has this Rolodex of plays in his head. [It's] almost like he has a photographic memory. " The Ravens offense dropped to No.

11 in points last season after years of higher rankings. The team had the league's highest-scoring offense in 2019 and led the NFL in total yards in 2024. Doyle previously worked as offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears, where the offense improved from last in the NFL in total yards in 2024.

Doyle worked under Sean Payton in New Orleans and Denver and under Ben Johnson in Chicago before joining Baltimore. He said he learned from those stops that challenging players in the spring is important. "Growth happens on the other side of stress, so we need to stress them," Doyle said.

ESPN reported that Doyle acknowledged a slower installation pace would be simpler but chose the faster approach based on his prior experience.
