Real Madrid readies $254 million bid for Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise

Real Madrid is preparing a transfer offer for Bayern Munich right winger Michael Olise that would total $254 million, or €223 million, according to Forbes. The offer includes $216.5 million, or €190 million, paid upfront and an additional $37.5 million, or €33 million, in performance bonuses.

Forbes reported that the total would surpass the previous record of €222 million, or $253 million, set when Paris Saint-Germain paid Neymar's release clause at FC Barcelona in 2017.

Forbes said Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, who was re-elected after defeating candidate Enrique Riquelme, is preparing the bid. Olise has recorded five assists at the 2026 World Cup in North America, including one to Kylian Mbappe, who leads the Golden Boot standings with six goals. Jose Mourinho is the newly appointed head coach of Real Madrid.

Forbes noted that a prior $171 million, or €150 million, bid by Real Madrid for Julian Alvarez was rejected by Atletico Madrid.
