REalloys signed a letter of intent with Patriot Exploration & Mining on June 9, 2026. The agreement gives the company preferential allocation rights to rare earth production from more than 150 tested sites stretching from Alabama to Pennsylvania. The sites form part of a 2-billion-ton Appalachian resource network. REalloys could receive up to 30 percent of future output under the terms.

Background on the deal The letter of intent follows REalloys' announcement two months earlier of plans to build the largest heavy rare earth metallization facility outside China. The company already maintains feedstock partnerships in North America, Greenland, Brazil, and Kazakhstan.

The Appalachian deposits contain neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium. These four elements are the magnet metals targeted by the Pentagon's 2027 restriction on Chinese-origin materials. REalloys is listed on NASDAQ under the ticker ALOY.
