A Labour MP said the Reform UK leader responded to the death of Henry Nowak by stoking anger and inciting violence against police officers. The MP stated that the Prime Minister and policing minister had asked serious questions while respecting the family's wish not to exploit the death to create tensions.

She added that the Reform UK leader's approach was to stoke anger and division. A Reform UK official told GB News he was stunned by the accusation and called the comments ludicrous. He said the Reform UK leader was showing leadership by offering practical solutions rather than platitudes.

Proposed legislation The official said Reform UK plans to introduce an Equal Treatment Act requiring police to treat everyone the same regardless of skin color. He cited reports that Hampshire Police officers felt pressured by diversity training to treat people differently.

He stated that all parties should work together on the legislation and that the Reform UK leader had not encouraged division.
