Gulf officials discussed bilateral relations and mediation efforts between the United States and Iran during phone calls on Tuesday. Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani spoke with UAE National Security Adviser Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

The officials reviewed ties and Pakistan’s mediation efforts, according to statements from the Qatari Foreign Ministry.

An Israeli air raid struck the town of Mashghara in Lebanon’s eastern Bekaa region after an evacuation order was issued for Mashghara and Sahma. Three additional strikes targeted areas near the Qaraoun Dam, Lebanon’s largest dam. Civil Defense personnel recovered the bodies of four women from rubble in the Tyre district town of Maraka.

Iran’s vice president confirmed the country took the first step toward restoring full internet access after an extended shutdown.
