Rep. Thomas Massie turned his phone toward a Fox News Digital reporter and asked if the reporter liked gay porn during an exchange over allegations from a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend. Fox News reported that Massie asked the reporter, "So let me ask you, I heard that you like gay porn.
He followed with additional questions including whether the reporter was a real loser, whether he worked for Fox, whether Fox was a legitimate news organization, and when the outlet became a tabloid. Massie denied two sets of allegations from Cynthia West, who claims to be his ex-girlfriend and former congressional staffer.
He stated that claims he offered her $5,000 to drop a lawsuit against Rep.
Victoria Spartz were false. He also stated that claims he bragged to her about a sexual encounter with Rep. Lauren Boebert weeks after his wife died were false. West alleged that Massie offered her the money in exchange for signing an NDA related to a wrongful termination dispute against Spartz.
She further alleged that Massie described the encounter with Boebert to her. Rep. " She added that bringing her into the matter showed sexist behavior out of control and amounted to clickbait. The allegations surfaced one week before Massie lost the Republican primary for his House seat on May 19.
