He said Iran is attempting to establish a toll system in the Strait of Hormuz and urged other nations not to accept the arrangement.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Tahir Andrabi said Friday that he was "not aware of any visit right now" when asked about reports that Pakistan's army chief was traveling to Tehran. Andrabi added that Pakistan would neither confirm nor deny the reports at this time.
A senior Iranian source told Reuters that no deal had been reached with the United States, though gaps between the two sides had narrowed. The Islamic Republic is still reviewing the latest proposal from the Trump administration.
