Russian Forces Add Camouflage and Jamming to Counter Ukrainian Drone Strikes

Russian forces have begun camouflaging cargo shipments and deploying stronger jamming systems to block Ukrainian drone strikes that hit vehicles while they are moving, according to Ukrainian drone commanders and pilots.

Camouflage includes covering loads with netting and other materials to reduce visibility from above. Jamming equipment targets the satellite signals that allow drones to maintain contact with operators during flight. Ukrainian drone teams reported that the jamming has forced some missions to abort or switch to alternative guidance methods.

The same operators noted that Starlink remains the primary communication link for many Ukrainian unmanned systems operating at longer ranges.
