Ryan Newman Finishes 24th in NASCAR Truck Series Return at North Wilkesboro
Ryan Newman returned to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the Faith Fest 250 at North Wilkesboro Speedway. The 48-year-old driver started 25th and finished 24th. He told reporters that discussions about additional races have taken place.

Ryan Newman completed the Faith Fest 250 at North Wilkesboro Speedway in the No. 25 RAM 1500 entry fielded by Kaulig Racing. He started the 0.625-mile track event in 25th position and crossed the finish line in 24th. After the race, Newman spoke with reporter Steven Taranato about possible future starts.
“The last part of that is that we’ve talked about doing another race,” he said. ” Newman has seven prior Truck Series starts, including a victory on debut at Atlanta in 2008 and five consecutive top-five finishes. His previous appearance in the series before North Wilkesboro occurred at Eldora Speedway in 2018, where he placed 30th.
Racing announced that former Cup Series driver Elliott Sadler will race the No. 25 truck next weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. IndyCar driver Conor Daly is also scheduled to pilot the same entry during that event. Earlier this year, the team fielded FOX analyst Jamie McMurray in the series at a naval base in San Diego.
McMurray qualified 34th and completed 22 laps before an accident ended his run.
