The contest is set for 8 p.m.
ET and will be broadcast on TNT and truTV. Viewers without cable can access the match through a five-day free trial of DIRECTV’s MySports genre packs, which include TNT, or through a 24-hour pass priced at $9.99. The night session format at the French Open began in 2021. This is the fifth WTA match to occupy that slot since the format started.
Sabalenka, the world No. 1, reached the French Open final in 2025. Osaka, the No. 16 seed, is appearing in the Round of 16 at Roland Garros for the first time. Sabalenka leads the head-to-head series 2-1, with both of her victories occurring in 2026. The winner will face No. 25 Diana Shnaider in the quarterfinals on June 3.
The 2026 French Open continues on Day 9 with additional matches involving Frances Tiafoe.
