The New Orleans Saints and running back Alvin Kamara agreed to a contract for the 2026 season on July 16. The agreement sets Kamara’s base salary at $6 million and allows him to earn up to $8.5 million through incentives. The new terms reduce Kamara’s compensation from the $11.5 million cash he was scheduled to receive under the two-year, $24.5 million extension signed in 2024.
Kamara rushed for 471 yards and one touchdown on 131 attempts in 11 games during the 2025 season while adding 33 receptions for 186 yards. The Saints signed running back Travis Etienne Jr. to a four-year, $48 million contract in free agency during the 2026 offseason.
