Serena Williams will compete in women's doubles at the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club in London beginning June 8. The WTA awarded her a wild card for the event. Williams posted on social media on June 1 that "Good news travels fast" along with a video of herself on court.

She stated on June 1: "Queen's Club feels like the perfect place to begin this next chapter. S. Open. She re-entered the anti-doping program in December, a requirement to return to competition.

Le Monde reported that she re-entered the anti-doping testing pool in December. Williams is 44 years old. She won Wimbledon seven times and holds 23 Grand Slam singles titles, the most by any woman in the Open era.

U.S. Open. WTA tournament director Laura Robson said the organization is "delighted" that Williams will return at the event. She noted that women's tennis made a historic return to Queen's Club last year.

The women's event runs from June 8 through the following week. @DailyCaller reported that her doubles partner has not yet been announced.
