Slovak Powder Metallurgy Company GEVORKYAN Opens Defence Industry Office in Kraków
The Slovak powder-metallurgy firm opened a Kraków office to expand defence work in Poland. The move follows years of robotisation investment and a new project with a Polish arms maker.
martechseries.comGEVORKYAN opened a Kraków branch named Gevorkyan Force Defence Poland, or G-FD, to expand its presence on the Polish market. The office gives the company a local base for deliveries, service and spare-parts supply in the defence sector. The cooperation with a Polish arms manufacturer will combine local expertise with GEVORKYAN’s production capabilities.
The company says prior investments in automation have improved its competitiveness in the Polish defence sector. The Kraków branch was presented at the HN Business Forum Poland – Slovakia 2026, held in Bratislava under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. -Ing.
U.S. Paulina Šperková, President of the Polish-Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the discussion addressed Slovak companies operating on the Polish market. She noted that Artur Gevorkyan’s experience in Slovakia, Italy, Ukraine, Armenia and now Poland offered participants concrete advice on local presence and Polish business practices.
-Ing. Artur Gevorkyan said GEVORKYAN’s first customers 30 years ago were Polish factories. He added that orders have grown and that the company now sees scope to expand cooperation on new defence projects while developing entirely new products.
