Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl Retain European Para-cycling Road Race Title
The British tandem won gold in Italy and helped Great Britain claim 18 medals, including three golds, at the 2026 UEC Para-cycling Road European Championships.

The pair finished ahead of Ireland's Katie-George Dunlevy and Linda Kelly and the tandem of Sinead Greenan and Alice Sharpe in Sunday's race. Great Britain collected 18 medals, including three golds, across the championships.
75 seconds behind Dunlevy and Kelly in Friday's time trial. Unwin and Holl won road race gold and the individual pursuit title on the track at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. They teamed up in 2021.
Crystal Lane-Wright won gold in the women's C5 time trial, finishing ahead of team-mate Morgan Newberry, and later took bronze in the women's C5 road race. Amelia Cass claimed gold in the C2 event and added silver in the C2 road race. Unwin will represent England with new pilot Sylvia Misztal at next month's Commonwealth Games.
Holl will compete for Team Scotland at the same event. The pair are scheduled to reunite for the Para-cycling Road World Cup in Huntsville, Alabama in September.
