South Korea has unveiled a $520 billion semiconductor manufacturing project, @FirstSquawk reported. The initiative aims to create the world's largest chipmaking cluster in partnership with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. The project will establish multiple advanced chip fabrication plants, research centers and supporting industries.
It will boost output of AI, memory and advanced logic chips while forming a complete semiconductor ecosystem. The government will supply infrastructure, power, water, tax incentives and regulatory support.
