South Korean Food Firms Sign Contracts and Secure Distribution Spots at First Bogota Event
KOTRA held its first promotion event for South Korean food companies in Bogota last week. Seven firms participated, producing $500,000 in supply contracts and three distribution placements. Exports to Colombia rose 30 percent last year to $4.35 million.

The Korea Trade Promotion Agency held its first promotion event for South Korean food companies in Bogota last week. Yonhap reported that seven companies took part, including Nongshim Co. and CJ Corp.
The event was hosted with Hipermar, one of the largest distributors of Asian food in Latin America. Five companies signed supply contracts worth a total of US$500,000. Three companies secured spots in local distribution networks.
South Korea exported $4.35 million worth of food products to Colombia last year, up 30 percent from the previous year, the agency said.
