South Korean and Italian Museums Sign Agreement on Collection Exchanges

The National Museum of Korea and the Uffizi Galleries signed a memorandum of understanding on Saturday to expand cooperation in collection exchanges, exhibitions, management, and restoration. The agreement was reached in Florence during a state visit to Italy that began Wednesday in Rome, Seoul's presidential office said.

Under the MOU, the two institutions will develop joint programs for planned exchanges and publications.

The signing followed an earlier agreement this week between the two countries to elevate bilateral relations to a special strategic partnership covering advanced technology, trade, and cultural exchanges.
