SpaceX agreed to acquire AI coding startup Cursor for $60 billion in a stock deal. The company disclosed the transaction in an 8-K filing with the SEC on Tuesday morning. Cursor shareholders will receive SpaceX Class A common stock.
The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. SpaceX announced the acquisition just a few days after its historic IPO and less than two months after announcing a tie-up between the two companies. SpaceX merged with xAI earlier this year.
