Spanish Animated Film 'Decorado' Set for Presentation at New York Showcase

The animated feature 'Decorado,' directed by Alberto Vázquez, is scheduled for presentation at the And the Goya Goes To – New Spanish Films showcase in New York. Executive producer Iván Miñambres will present the film in person. The event takes place this week and features seven films, including 2026 Goya Award winners and best picture contenders.

Production and Collaboration Iván Miñambres, executive producer and CEO at UniKo, has collaborated with Alberto Vázquez since Vázquez's first short film 'Birdboy.

' Together, they have produced five short films and three features. The short 'Decorado' premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes in 2016. The feature project originated from an effort to develop the 2016 short into a television series, which did not proceed.

Instead, it evolved into the full-length animated film. This collaboration spans over a decade and includes multiple projects in animation.

Attendees include industry professionals and audiences interested in recent award-winning films. The event supports the promotion of Spanish films abroad through organized screenings and presentations.
