Sphere Venue in Las Vegas Leads Global Ticket Sales with $379 Million Revenue
The Sphere entertainment venue in Las Vegas generated $379 million in ticket sales last year, making it the world's highest-grossing site according to Pollstar. New York PostThe Sphere, a Las Vegas entertainment venue built for $2.3 billion by Madison Square Garden executive James Dolan, has become the world's highest-grossing entertainment site based on ticket sales. Last year, 1.7 million people purchased tickets to shows at the Sphere, generating $379 million in revenue, according to trade publication Pollstar.
The figures were first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
This performance contributed to Sphere Entertainment reporting a net profit, after posting losses the previous year. The company recorded a net loss of $325 million in 2024, followed by net income of $33.4 million in 2025 as ticket sales increased. The company's stock rose from around $26 to a peak of $137.29 over the past year.
Features Plans are in place to construct another Sphere in Abu Dhabi and a smaller 6,000-seat venue in Maryland, near Washington, DC. The Las Vegas site includes a 160,000-square-foot wraparound LED screen, a large exterior display, and an audio system with tens of thousands of speakers.
The venue has hosted residencies by major acts and an immersive screening of “The Wizard of Oz,” which generated millions in ticket sales. Upcoming performances include runs by rock and pop acts, with one band's 24 shows starting in October already sold out.
