He added that any decision ultimately rests with James.
State has re-signed Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford and De'Anthony Melton. The team also signed backup center Charles Bassey to a one-year contract on Thursday. Curry said the club must manage the absence of injured players Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody while maintaining roster flexibility for James' potential arrival.
