Switzerland and Colombia meet in World Cup round of 16

Switzerland and Colombia meet Tuesday in the round of 16 at BC Place in Vancouver, each looking to reach the quarterfinals for the first time since 1954. Switzerland topped Group B with seven points after beating Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina and drawing with Qatar.

Path to quarterfinals The winner will face either Argentina or Egypt in Kansas City on July 11. The two teams have met five times previously, with Colombia winning all encounters, most recently a 3-1 friendly in 2007.
