Switzerland defeated Bosnia-Herzegovina 4-1 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on 18 June 2026. The Swiss team scored all four goals after the 71st minute following the introduction of two substitutes. Jovan Manzambi entered the match in the 71st minute and scored three minutes later from a rebound inside the right post.
He also provided the assist for Ruben Vargas's goal in the 84th minute. Vargas, who entered alongside Manzambi, scored with a first-time cross-shot into the bottom corner. Bosnia-Herzegovina played with ten men after Muhamerovic received a straight red card in the 80th minute for fouling Breel Embolo.
The red card came after Manzambi sent Embolo into the box with a weighted pass. Granit Xhaka scored a penalty in the 90+8th minute after Amar Memic fouled him in the 90+7th minute. Ermin Mahmic scored a consolation goal for Bosnia-Herzegovina in the 90+3rd minute with a first-time strike under the crossbar.
Switzerland maintained around 70% possession in the first 30 minutes but could not score before half-time. Dan Ndoye forced saves from Nikola Vasilj in the 10th, 20th, and 51st minutes. Remo Freuler's shot in the 23rd minute went narrowly wide, and Michel Aebischer's header in the 53rd minute went yards wide.
