Team acquires forward in draft-pick swap

A professional hockey club acquired a 23-year-old forward from another club in exchange for the 25th overall selection in Friday's draft and a conditional second-round pick next year. Context for both sides The sending club is retooling after a season affected by injuries. The acquiring club has missed the playoffs in four of its first five seasons. "Mackie is a talented young player who we are excited to bring into the fold," the acquiring club's general manager said.
