Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton defeated four-term Sen. Washington Examiner healthcare reporter Gabrielle Etzel said Paxton’s investigations into food ingredients and clothing chemicals align with the Make America Healthy Again movement. Etzel said on the Scott Jennings Show on Wednesday that movement members view Paxton as a “warrior” for their cause.

She stated that Paxton opened investigations into Mars, Kellogg, General Mills, and baby food makers regarding the safety of ingredients in their products.

” She added that Paxton is viewed by movement insiders as a “true believer” who has developed a record on these issues over the past year and a half. Etzel said Paxton’s investigation into Lululemon over alleged exposure to toxic chemicals in its clothing has drawn particular attention.

She stated that movement insiders expect the non-toxic clothing issue to become prominent in 2027.

Etzel noted that the departure of Sen.

Bill Cassidy from the Senate Health Committee creates an opening. She said movement members see Paxton’s potential arrival in the Senate as a way to advance their priorities on those issues.
